Web Marketing is basically the art of promoting your site through the digital medium, attracting customers and increasing awareness of your brand. We deal with a number of areas of Digital Marketing: Natural Search - Search Engine Optimisation

Once your web site has been developed, we will strive to optimise its placement on the most widely used search engines on the WWW.

Firstly, we will register your site with the four biggest search engines (Google, Yahoo, MSN and AOL). 92% of the search engine traffic streams go through these four engines, and so immediately your web site will have an astronomically large potential audience.

We do not limit the submission of our clients web pages to strictly the "big four" as described above. We also submit pages to Web Directories such as Open Directory. The benefit of this for our client is that when Google is indexing pages, it gives a web site extra 'weight' or value if it has a listing in the Open Directory or Yahoo (because the site has then be reviewed by a human being, not just a computer). This would result in your web page being ranked higher in a Google search.

Another main feature of modern Search Engine Optimisation is Reciprocal Linking. This is one of the main tools used by Google during web site indexing. S.E.O. Technologies Pty Ltd provide the following description of exactly how Reciprocal Linking works:

Put simply, Google ranks your site based partly on the quality of sites which link to yours, within your field of endeavour.

To help our clients in this area we plan to personally contact other companies whose field of expertise is complementary to our clients', and setup reciprocal links between your site and theirs. This will be mutually beneficial to both companies as the number of quality links to both sites would have increased.

A second potential benefit of this technique is the creation of working relationships between both companies.

The final stage of our Search Engine Optimisation process involves the insertion of metadata into your web site. Metadata consists of a list of keywords relevant to your company, and also a paragraph describing your company and what you do. An example of metadata for a web design company can be seen below:

This information is used by search engines to ensure that your web site is displayed when a relevant search is executed.

Paid Search - Pay-Per-Click Advertising (PPC)

Paid listings are similar to conventional advertising in that you pay to advertise in the form of sponsored links. Your listing is effectively a text box – which you sponsor – in which your copy is placed and linked to a destination website or web page.

Your sponsored link will appear on the results pages of your chosen search engine when a user searches for the keywords or phrases you have bid for. Your link is likely to be just one of several that appear (above or to the right of the natural listings) on the results pages for these keywords or phrases.

Google AdWords and Yahoo! Search Marketing (formerly Overture) are the largest PPC network operators.

Traffic Statistics Package

We realise that it is terrible business sense to invest in various digital marketing campaigns, yet not have any way of evaluating their success. To combat this, we have started to offer our clients a monthly Traffic Statistics Package.

This document displays the number of unique visits your site has received in the previous month, as well as other useful pieces of information such as the geographical location of visitors, and what sites referred visitors to you (e.g. Google, MSN, Facebook).

This service is offered free of charge if you choose to utilise our monthly update scheme.
